POP UP MEGA MANSION FROM PREZZYBOX.COM

What do you do if you don’t have room in your garden for a wooden playhouse? Kids love those. They will spend hours playing inside making up stories, cooking food and if you are lucky invite you in for a visit. But they take up a lot of space. And they can dominate your outdoor space. Well, a pop up version might be the ideal solution then.

We were recently sent the Pop Up Mega Mansion from Prezzybox.com. It was an instant hit with Caspian. He spent about half an hour just running around it. He would crawl in through the round hole and out through the little door the other side to great amusement for all of us.

So how does it work? It comes in a round bag with four pegs to keep it grounded in each corner. Three sticks click together and you put it through the roof loop to stabilize it.  It’s super simple and takes minutes to assemble. The first time I disassembled it it took me about three goes to figure out how to twist it the right way to make it fit in the bag again. But once you figure it out it’s easy and therefore takes up minimal space when folded away.

My only critic would be that the door doesn’t open down to the ground. In his excitement Caspian did trip over it a couple of times. He was fine and he quickly learned. But it would be a slightly better design if it could open all the way down.

I would recommend this very much. Especially if you can’t fit in a full wooden version. I can see us having a lot of fun with this over the summer. We can bring in blankets and cushions for nap time. Do teddy picnics. It’s big enough for adults to fit in as well. The cardboard box it comes in has cut out pans and pots and a gas burner for cooking.

The quality is good, it’s well made and I think this tent will be a great success when we’re hosting a children’s party for Caspian’s little friends in August.

Another use would be taking it with you to the beach. You then have shade for your little ones and with all the doors and windows open it still has good air circulation and I don’t think it would get too hot. Though, of course, you would need to keep an eye on the temperature in direct sunlight.

The Pop Up Mega Mansion retails at £39.95 from Prezzybox and also comes in a princess castle and a post office version. Prezzybox also has a vast selection of toys and personalised gifts for the whole family from gadgets, food and drinks to experiences, so worth a browse if you are looking to spoil a loved one. Their delivery service was fast and effective, too.

  1. This is brilliant Nadia I love it! So easy to put up and so easy to take down. Caspian looks like he had a great time playing that and running into it. As you say they are a brilliant idea to take the beach, or to pop-up in your house (depending on how big your room is). We have a little mini pop-up tent from IKEA that is in my daughter’s play pen, she’s not really got the handle of it yet and doesn’t see the fun just yet of playing in it. Hopefully that’ll change soon. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

  2. wow, this looks like so much fun! I love that there are cut outs on the box- details like that make me think that lots of thought went into the design of a product. What a great play tent and also a great price point! I will definitely be looking at these for my daughter. I like the sound of the post office!
