LILY ALLEN DESIGNS FOR DANISH HIGH STREET BRAND

I’m naturally all for British/Danish collaborations! It’s working well in our household, and so I was excited to read that Danish high street brand Vero Moda has hired British singer, Lily Allen, to design three new collections for them. The first having already launched.

Lily Allen considers herself more of a consultant than an actual designer having played a big part in the choice of colours, materials and cuts more than having physically sketched out the clothes, but the first collection definitely holds the essence of Allen. She’s also modelling the campaign and thereby follows in the footsteps of fellow Brits Kate Moss and Alexa Chung. Loving the cute Christmassy video from the shoot!

Check out the video and the first of the three collections here if you fancy some Danish design with a British twist to update your winter wardrobe. The palette contains mainly black, white and shimmering greys with dusty turquoise and Bordeaux thrown in for good measure. Clean, simple and just a little bit rock ‘n’ roll!

Here are my favourite pieces from the first collection. Easy to pair with statement jewellery, red lips and heels. Perfect for a night out before Christmas!

  1. Ohh nice outfits there, they would never suit me but I’m sure someone else would look amazing in them! Thanks for linking up to the #bestandworst 🙂

  2. Oh I really love this collection!! I’m all up for black!! Perfect to hide the imperfections!! LOL She looks so sexy!! Well done Lilly!! Thanks for sharing this at #KCACOLS. You are always sharing great posts lovely!! 🙂 xx

  3. I love this style…a classic biker goes with everything doesn’t it?! Not sure I’d pull off a cut out tummy dress just now though! Love the collection…and Lily is a pretty cool Brit x Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub

    1. Yes, the cut out dress scares me too. Considering Lily is a mum herself I’m not sure she’s kept that in mind for all the designs. But I still think she’d make a good member of #coolmumclub. Thank you for leaving a comment!

  4. I like the clothes but I think I may be slightly too old or maybe not the right sort of figure for these outfits but they look good, maybe some colour next time Lily? Thanks for linking up to #KCACOLS, hope to see you again next week.

    1. Yes, considering she a mum herself she could have catered for more different shapes. Maybe in the up-coming collections. And hopefully more colour, too.

    1. Yes, comfort is key! And I’ve realised that even more so after becoming a mum, ha ha. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

    1. Yes, I like the dress, though as someone else pointed out you need to be comfortable with your midriff for a cut out like that 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Julie.
