RENT BABY EQUIPMENT IN COPENHAGEN + COMPETITION

Whether you’re a family travelling to Copenhagen on holiday or you live there and might be heading somewhere else this year, it can be a pain to pack up your larger baby equipment. Having flown back frequently since Caspian’s birth close to 18 months ago, it has always been one of my biggest annoyances. Especially as I recently encountered a problem of taking our buggy out to the gate.

Even though we generally stay with family I still have to bring both a car seat and a buggy for Caspian.  As I often travel alone due to Daddy Long Legs working this is a lot to deal with on top of juggling changing bags and suitcases not to mention all the other essentials you need when going anywhere with a baby.

A company in the Danish capital has come up with the solution. JOSELINE CPH not only retails new and used baby gear they now also rent it out on a short term basis to tourists arriving in Denmark and Danish families wishing to take for example a light weight stroller on holiday.

Not only do they supply clean, well-kept equipment they also deliver it to your choice of destination within Copenhagen. So whether you prefer to receive it at the airport on arrival, want it waiting at your hotel or airbnb address or would rather pick it up at Joseline Cph store on Østerbro your needs are catered for with their excellent service.

On our recent trip we borrowed the Baby Jogger City Lite stroller and a BeSafe Izi Comfort car seat. Both were delivered to us at Copenhagen Airport, a service that costs 500 DKK (approx. £50) on top of the rental price. The company works with three hotels in the city where you get your gear delivered for free, and otherwise it costs 300 DKK to any other address in the greater Copenhagen area. You can also choose to pick it up free of charge.

The daily rate for the car seat starts at 15 DKK and for the stroller it’s 50 DKK. You pay a 35 DKK cleaning fee for both, which means you don’t have to worry about anything on return.

We were especially impressed with the Baby Jogger City Lite stroller. Not only does it live up to it’s name of being very lightweight, it’s easy to push on most surfaces (we had it through pebbles, woodland and even took it to the beach). It also collapses in two easy moves by pressing a red button on the side and pulling a release strap at the front, super simple. The basket underneath is a good size for this type of stroller. It seems sturdy and steers well. And the hood has UV protection 50+, which is ideal at this time of year.

If you are not familiar with the brands/models you choose I suggest watching a quick YouTube video beforehand. This will make installing especially car seats a lot quicker and ensure you do it correctly.

The rep from JOSELINE CPH did give us a quick demonstration of the stroller at the airport and it also came with an instruction manual, which did come in handy once.

The company has a wide range of equipment catering for your every need as a family. From car seats, strollers and prams to travel cots and high chairs.

COMPETITION

If you are planning a trip to Copenhagen or live in Denmark and are going on holiday soon, this competition is for you! You can win the use of a buggy or stroller of your choice for up to 10 days. As mentioned they have a great selection, but we can really recommend the Baby Jogger City Lite stroller as it weights next to nothing, is super easy to collapse and allows the child to lie flat resulting in a great sleep.
