WATCH TEAM GB THANK THEIR #SUPERFANS

Watch the new Team GB #Superfans video

As a  family we are very excited to be watching the Olympics. We are so looking forward to the kick off in Rio end of next week. Naturally we tend to support different nations. I often favour Denmark while Daddy Long Legs is cheering on Team GB. Luckily the two countries have different strengths so it’s rare that we end up on opposite ends of the sofa hoping for gold in the same disciplines. And if Denmark does get knocked out, I’m more than happy to support my current home country and become one of the Team GB #Superfans.

Caspian has clearly inherited his father’s love of sport as well as his (and partly my) strong physique. He adores playing in the garden and especially tennis balls and footballs are current favourites, so maybe we have a future Olympic star on our hands?

I’m truly in awe though, of the dedication and focus displayed by these athletes and can’t imagine what the life of such a professional really entails. Hours and hours of training, a set routine and strict diets not to mention dealing with the press. They more than deserve our support!

But the athletes have clearly realised that the support of the British people perhaps also helps them perform better. They are now saying thank you to all their #Superfans with a hilarious new YouTube video. It’s great to see that they can relax a little, have fun and let go before it all kicks off in Brazil on the 5th of August.  Watch Tom Daley, Louis smith and Nicola Adams plus the rest of Team GB lip sync and boogie to Worship!

What did you think? Are you one of the #Superfans and will you be watching the Olympics this August? What is your favourite discipline?

NB! Please note this post in written in collaboration with Panasonic. All words and opinions are my own.

  1. Looks like they had fun making the video! I’m a bit out of touch with sports in general, but I remember being glued to the Olympics on tv when I was a kid. Hopefully I’ll get to cheer on my home country in some of the events this time. #KCACOLS

  2. I am not usually a sports fan, but I always watch the Olympics. I was part of the organising committee for London 2012 and took the opportunities I had to see as much sport as possible. Although it will be on the TV as opposed to live this year I’ll definitely be watching! #KCACOLS

  3. The athletes are so dedicated and give up so much to participate in these games. I wish I had half of their energy and commitment! #KCACOLS

  4. I am not the biggest sports fan but I admit I got really caught up with the atmosphere with the last olympics being here – so I think Imay try to get involved with Rio. I quite like athletics but am a bit less interested in team sports! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday
