7 GIFT IDEAS FOR MOTHER’S DAY

It’s always nice to receive the gift of flowers on any occasion or just as a surprise as it’s such a simple way to say I Love You and for that www.flyingflowers.co.uk can help you out. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite brands and products that has something for every kind of mum, whether she enjoys a pamper or is looking to add more exercise to her life. Maybe she needs a bit of a boost to carry on juggling everything or maybe she is just starting out on her journey and could do with a big box of baby treats.

FOR THE MUM-TO-BE

You might have heard that all new mothers in Scotland now receive a baby box? This Nordic inspired concept stems from Finland where the government provides a cardboard to all new parents. It’s filled with everything you need to see you through the first months with your newborn. The box itself also works as a portable crib and is fitted with a mattress. If you are not in Scotland but would like to treat a mum-to-be then check out the lovely BRITISH BABY BOX run by two mums here in England. You can personalise the content to suit your budget and the need of the mum.

FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES TO GET CREATIVE

I’m currently learning how to knit and working on a gorgeous blanket. Well, the design is gorgeous, let’s see how it turns out in my hands. It’s the perfect hygge accessory. This is all thanks to WE ARE KNITTERS, an international and super trendy site championing all things wool and needles. You simply choose your design, level of expertise and follow the videos on their site, if you are not already an avid knitter. Each item comes in a cool paper bag with everything you need to create your finished product.

FOR THE MUM WANTING TO KEEP FIT

Even though chasing a toddler can feel like exercise it is nice to take some time to focus on your own health even on the days where you have your little ones around. Scandinavian brand THULE is your friend in these situations. From specific jogging strollers to great child seats for your bike, Thule enables you to stay fit while you carry on parenting. Their designs are sleek and modern and fit into the busiest of lifestyles.

FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES FASHION (AND COMFORT)

The stylish MAHABIS slippers are mine (and Caspian’s as they do kids shoes, as well) favourite footwear at the moment. You can easily slip on the colourful soles changing the look and feel of the shoe. It’s also practical that you use the comfy slippers indoors and pop the soles on for when you need to go out the house. Read more in our upcoming review here on the blog.

FOR THE MUM WHO LOVES A BIT OF BLING

Beautifully crafted pieces from DEBORAH BLYTH JEWELLERY would make most mums smile this Sunday. These unique handmade items add a bit of sparkle plus some can be personalised to make them even more special. You can read the with Deborah if you want to learn more about what inspires her.

FOR THE MUM WHO DESERVES A PAMPER

I started using these products last year after interviewing the founder, Katie, here on the blog. HAYO’U is the ultimate in self-care products that not only help to reduce your stress levels, they make you look and feel better (younger?!), too. I would especially recommend the jade face tool and oil, perfect for giving yourself a little beauty treatment every night before bed.

FOR THE MUM WHO NEEDS A BOOST

When you are surviving on little sleep and your hormones are a bit all over the place, you might need a helping hand to look your best. I’m currently trialling award-winning SKINADE and I have seen a huge improvement in the texture of my skin. You can read my full review soon but I’d highly recommend this product as a great gift for any mum needing a bit of a boost.

Please note this is a collaborative post thought the gift guide includes products we have been sent, it is, however, my choice to feature them in this post and all words and opinions are my own.
