As a child I was fortunate enough to travel a lot. My parents took me and my siblings all over the world from South Africa to the US and many countries in Europe. A cruise to the Caribbean is what stands out as one of the best trips for me. I hope to show Caspian these places one day and introduce him to exciting cultures, new foods and different climates.
We went to Gibraltar in February and since then I’ve been longing to go explore a new destination. A great place to start though is the Family Travel Show coming up at Kensington Olympia on the first weekend of October. It will be an event showcasing many of the great options on offer for family travel and I can’t wait to go. I’m hoping to find inspiration for our next family holiday.
But it should also prove to be a fun day out in general for the whole family with lots of events and activities going on throughout the show. I’ve teamed up with the Family Travel Show to offer the readers of the blog free tickets.
Follow this link for your 2 free* adult tickets, worth £20, to The Family Travel Show 2016 on Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of October when booking in advance! Children under 16 go free, too. Just quote SCANDIMUM when booking your tickets online or when calling 0844 209 7360.
Here’s some of the additional activities you and your children can take part in at the show:
BBC Go Jetters Magazine – Meet Ubercorn, travel the world and take selfies at famous landmarks.
Mark Warner Photo booth – Feel like you’re already on holiday when you get dressed up and snap a memory in the Mark Warner Photobooth.
Photo Workshops – Budding travel photographers can take a FREE masterclass with photography experts Sharp Shots.
Lonely Planet Kids – Join Lonely Planet Kids at the Family Travel Show where they will be bringing the world to life for young explorers everywhere, sharing their love of travel with lots of interactive features and travel inspiration for your next trip.
Where would you like to go on holiday next? Do you have your next family holiday planned?
(*£2.50 booking fee for postage and packaging applies. Calls cost 10 p per minute plus network extras may apply.)
I was supposed to go to this too but it’s so far away from me and I couldn’t manage it this time. It sounds like a fantastic event though and a great giveaway! Thanks for sharing on #fortheloveofBLOG
I am working that weekend, which is a real shame as we have absolutely no idea what to do for a holiday next year.

Sounds fab – funnily enough I’ll be sunning myself on a beach in Majorca that weekend haha #thelist
This sounds fantastic.. I am completely obsessed with travel and want to show my children what the world has to offer. My husband often needs some convincing though so this may be a great idea and thank you for the great offer. x #KCACOLS
Sounds like a fun day out! Shame it’s so far for me to get to. Might try and catch a similar show at the NEC #KCACOLS
Oh this looks like fun. I think I had an email somewhere about this might have to dig it up! #KCACOLS
Thanks for this info, will definitely take a look at this show. Now our daughter is 5 we can explore a few more places on our holidays 🙂 #KCACOLS
Wow what a brilliant offer – there are so many places I’d love to take Taylor but it would be great to get some inspiration at a show like this. xx #KCACOLS
We’re out and about that weekend, but awesome share! #KCACOLS
Aw. We are busy that weekend but it sounds fantastic! Thanks for linking (and co-hosting!) #KCACOLS
What a great day out. Shame we aren’t around that weekend. We took our little ones to Tokyo in January and we all loved it. I hope we’re able to take them to more exciting places around the world. It’s so important to us as individuals that we get to experience new places too. #KCACOLS x Sunita
