Live in London? Looking for something different to do with your children this October? Then I have the perfect event for you. You might already know the entertaining and quirky stories of Mrs Armitage by Quentin Blake and if so, I’m sure you’d want to see them brought to life on stage.
Gaga Theatre Company are touring the capital from the 5th to the 30th of October 2016. With The Stage calling it “An ingenious way to introduce theatre to the under sevens” you will not want to miss this opportunity to go surfing with the wonderful characters of this award-winning picture book.
The play focuses on the book about Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave set on the Californian coast. Arriving with her faithful dog Breakspear Mrs Armitage is ready for adventure. This is a funny and touching story about friendship, helping others and staying positive and carrying on. Definitely something I want to teach Caspian as he grows up and learns about life.
The show combines live theatre, original music, and magical projections on the big screen. The team from Ga Ga Theatre Company promises a unique production full of fun and where kids and their parents can relax in the knowledge that everyone will be entertained, inspired and enriched by the show.
As an actress theatre holds a very special place in my heart. I think it is an important medium that holds more magic than any other art form. We loved our first theatre experience a couple of months ago, but as Caspian is still a little on the young side being only 20 months so I’m sending my friend and writer with her 3-year-old boy to review this show. We should have the full lay down by next week and I can’t wait to hear what they think and share it with you all.
But if you are ready to book tickets now go on to the theatre’s website where you can find all the details of venues across London. I’m pretty sure this will be rather spectacular! Please note that there are also some relaxed performances on the 6th, 16th and 26th. Tickets cost £12.
Have you taken your kids to the theatre yet? Do you know the stories of Mrs Armitage?
Oh that sounds so much fun and something a bit different for half term! Wish I lived nearer so I could go too! Thanks for sharing on #fortheloveofBLOG
