I was first introduced to Naty BY NATURE by a friend and fellow mummy here in the UK, who spoke very highly of their baby care products and even more so of their range of biodegradable nappies. She gave me the lotion to try for when Caspian had arrived.
I loved the look of the simple, clean packaging with the slogan “healty child, healthy planet”. And as I looked into the company I discovered it’s Scandinavian origin. Naty BY NATURE was founded by Swedish mother, Marlene Sandberg, more than 20 years ago. She wanted to create natural products for babies and children. And over time she has truly unfolded her vision making the company an international success with fans from around the world including celebrity mummies in Hollywood swearing by the brand for their little ones.
During my pregnancy I became more conscience about which beauty products I put on my skin. I have always favored natural skincare and try not to use anything with parabens in it. One day I had run out of my usual body lotion. The cold winter weather combined with the pregnancy hormones meant my skin had a tendency to dry out quickly. I was looking through the bathroom cupboards when I came across the lotion from Naty. As it is formulated for babies I thought it might be the ideal product to use on my growing bump. Not only that, but it felt wonderful on my skin. It left it hydrated for hours. It absorbed quickly and there was no greasy residue. It might even have contributed to my minimal acquisition of stretch marks?!
As my nesting instinct went into overdrive shortly before Caspian was born I made sure we had everything we needed and probably a few things we didn’t. After having discovered Naty BY NATURE’s products I bought the wash and shampoo as well. And even though I got them for Caspian, I use all three, though the lotion is still my favorite.
The wash is lovely. None of the products have any perfumes, dyes or parabens. They are are all hypoallergic and demologically tested. With the wash you do need a fair few pumps in a normal size bath tub to create bubbles, but luckily Caspian doesn’t seem too bothered about that yet. And when he does I’ll try the ECO Bubble Bath. The good thing about the wash is that it doesn’t dry out his skin.
The shampoo has been great. Little C had a mild case of craddle cap and I did shy away from using any products other than water on his hair. But actually after having now used the shampoo the last couple of weeks the craddle cap has more or less gone.
The products are reasonably priced and a little goes a long way, so they last well – even after mummy has started using them too!
Marlene Sandberg describes the company as a lifestyle concept and I will look forward to exploring more of their products including nappies and wipes. I’m especially intrigued by their beautiful, minimalist and very Scandinavian styled organic, GM-free cotton clothing line for children though.
I have bought these products myself and the opinions expressed above are my own. I’m not affiliated with Naty BY NATURE.
