As you might know if you’ve caught my new Vlogmas series on YouTube then there are quite a few differences between British and Scandinavian Christmas traditions. It’s taking some getting use to, but it’s exciting at the same time. The food we eat, when we actually celebrate and how gifts are given and presented. The latter is becoming more and more obvious to me and I’m loving some of the traditions I’m discovering. Especially the Christmas sacks for children.
I was keen for Caspian to have his own that could be brought out year after year. So when we were kindly offered to review one of the fun sacks from The Great Little Trading Company I was very excited. They match the rest of the brands Christmas decorations and as we already have up a Rudolph garland and their super cute Russian dolls featuring Santa, a polar bear, Rudolph, a Christmas tree and a tiny Robin, the sack fitted in perfectly.
What I love about the products from GLTC is that they are all so well made. You can choose between Father Christmas and Rudolph for your sack and have both personalised with the name of your child. We went for the reindeer as I thought he was so sweet with his red pom pom nose.
I’m still on the hunt for a few more presents, but I feel the sack is a good size in that it is roomy without being so large that it can be hard to fill. I can’t wait for Caspian to open it on Christmas morning. We’ll be celebrating here in the UK this year, so we staying true to the British traditions.
