#PRINTINGDORY WITH EPSON AND DISNEY

scandimummy-printing-dory-event

Yesterday I ventured into London. I was invited by Epson and Disney to attend a special event at their store on Oxford Street. It was to show us more about the fabulous Eco Tanker printer from Epson and to celebrate the upcoming release of Finding Dory, which is out on the 29th of July.

We were treated to a delicious breakfast before a short talk from both companies. The Disney Store is just magical. I will have to take Caspian there soon. But they also have a great events room upstairs.

Bobbie from Disney telling us about the new Finding Dory film

Bobbie from Disney told us more about their partnership with Epson and also the film.

Neil from Epson talking about the Eco Tanker

Neil from Epson talked about how the printer market has developed and changed over the years. I find we print a lot less as ink cartridges are so expensive. This is the exact issue Epson has tackled with their EcoTank printer. They promise that it gives you two years worth of use, which will save you a lot on ink. It has loads of great features and is easy to set up.

Alice from More Than Toast at the Epson and Disney blogger event

The lovely super-blogger Alice from More than Toast showed us how to do an origami whale. It’s was great fun as she didn’t take herself too seriously, and  highlighted the fact that you don’t have be a brilliant crafter to create great and fun projects with your kids. Also, when their little hands and minds are preoccupied they relax and often chat more freely than sitting down being forced to tell you about their day. A great tip to bear in mind, as both communication and creativity is so important.

I’ll feature more of the craft projects that Epson and Disney have put together alongside more information on the EcoTank printer in an upcoming post. The crafts are perfect to do with your children in the summer holidays, especially if this rain continues. I created a little video at the event which shows you one of the print outs and how it can easily be turned into a cute card.

I was also fortunate enough to win tickets to a special VIP screening of the new Finding Dory film later this month. As a huge fan of Finding Nemo – can you believe it’s been 16 years since that came out?! – I can’t wait to see the sequel.

I brought home some Finding Dory bath toys for Caspian which he immediately paraded around the house, so I’m sure he’ll enjoy the film, too.

Will you be taking your kids to see Finding Dory? Which crafts do you enjoy making with your family?

  4. Looks like a great event. Finding Dory came out at the beginning of July in North America and we took our son to see it on opening weekend. Great movie and very well done. My son who’s five found it a bit scary during some parts but otherwise he enjoyed it. Hope you like the movie! #KCACOLS

  5. Sounds like a lovely event. We bought this cheap printer before only to be not able to use it as the ink’s price is just so expensive! We are doing our printing works in the library where its cheap to print! This Epson sounds cool! #ablogginggoodtime
