THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS FAIR 2016

The Spirit of Christmas 2016

If you love Christmas as much as I do, then there’s one place to visit this week. The Spirit of Christmas has taken over at Kensington Olympia with everything from beautiful decorations, great gift ideas to delicious food, champagne bars and Chrismassy treats galore.

Super adorable advent calendar from 12 Days of Christmas at The Spirit of Christmas

How adorable is this wooden advent calendar with light from 12 Days of Christmas?

Yesterday I handed over Caspian to Daddy Long Legs so they could enjoy an afternoon together while I made my way to the venue in South West London. Christmas has always been my favourite holiday season so I was excited to indulge in a bit of me time while surrounding myself with all things glittery and sweet.

The fair has teamed up with top London restaurant Mosiman’s. I been fortunate enough to dine at the main Belgrave Square location and can definitely recommend their cuisine. Combine that with the vast selection of Christmas foods on offer from the stalls you are unlikely to leave hungry. If you are in the celebratory mood make sure to stop by one of the champagne bars for a glass (or bottle!) of fizz.

The happy chaps from Charles Mitchell Wines will help you choose the right wines for your Christmas parties and there are plenty of gin on offer along side cheese, Christmas puddings and even gingerbread houses in the shape of Big Ben.

If you are after Scandinavian style you can find that as well. Danish Collection carry many beautiful designers from my birth place showcasing the best for your home, for you and for your Christmas tree. Also, the lovely ladies from British brands Lala & Bea, that I recently interviewed are showcasing at the fair. You’ll find their soft, organic PJ’s for your little ones, funky knit wear and a new exclusive collection of sweatshirts for adult with prints such as Namastay (in bed) and Hygge, simply perfect for cosy night’s in.

If you are looking to treat yourself further then there’re plenty of delightful pieces on offer from knitwear to unique bags. I especially loved this clutch from South African designer Sherene Melinda and the rings below.

The collection from Deborah Blyth Jewellery is inspired by nature and so simple and beautiful. The mother and daughter at the stand are incredibly lovely and welcoming so make sure to stop by and browse the bespoke handmade pieces.

If you are after something for the children in your life, perhaps for Christmas morning, then Pixie Dixie is worth a visit. A stylish and beautiful collection of night wear and robes perfect for wearing while opening presents. I know Caspian would love this red bus print as his obsession with this particular vehicle continues.

You will also find lovely products for your home like the range of scented candles and super soft towels from stylish brand Sevin London.

Lastly if you are after a showstopper of a Christmas wreath you have to check out Berries & Baubles. This giant piece of art with feathers made several visitors naturally stop in their tracks to admire the workmanship that must have gone into constructing it. They also do smaller ones and garlands to complete your front door for December.

Have you visited this yearly event before? What did you think?

NB! Please note I was gifted tickets for the show. All words and opinions are my own as is the selection of brands featured.
