TODDLER TRIED & TESTED

Toddler Tried and Tested

Welcome to August’s Toddler Tried & Tested post, a new series on children’s products we’ve been trying out over the past couple of weeks. From fun apps to skincare products you’ll find a good mix and get the lay down on what’s going on, what’s worth buying and what’s working or not every month.

MUSTELA SKINCARE

I was super excited when French skincare brand Mustela got in touch. They are renowned for using extracted natural biomimetic, an active ingredient from avocado that works perfectly with babies skin.

Great skincare products for babies

We were sent the Cleansing Milk, Multi-Sensory Bubble Bath and the Very High Protection Sun Lotion.

The Multi-Sensory Bubble Bath has an intense sweet yet refreshing sent, a bright blue colour and creates great bubbles. It’s a soap and tear free formula and can be used from birth. Retails at £4.75 for 200 ml.

The Cleansing Milk is great and I’ve used it too. It leaves your skin super soft, so I can recommend it as part of an adult skincare regime, too. It can be used on your child’s face and nappy area. Retails at £.6.50 for 200 ml.

But my favourite it the sun lotion with SPF50+, I can’t speak highly enough of it and will definitely be buying this going forward. It’s easy to apply, gets absorbed quickly and like the rest of their products it has no parabens, alcohol or perfume.  Retails at £9.95 for 40 ml.

MACTH & LEARN THE GREEK GODS APP

This new children’s from Petita Demas is a great learning app aimed at the 2-6 year-olds. Caspian is still a little young, though I’m sure he’ll soon get the hang of it.

A witty, educational puzzle game with fun characters that really come to life. The aim is to match 12 Greek Gods, each with their own story, in 4 different levels of engagements and clever animations that bring a smile.

At only £1.49 it’s well worth checking out if your little ones need entertaining this summer holiday!

BEDTIME STORIES FROM PARRAGON BOOKS

We still enjoy being part of the Parragon Book Buddies Club and have received this wonderful collection of Sleepytime Tales to Share. The stories are beautifully illustrated with classics such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Thumbelina.

Bedtime story book from Parragon

We are currently working our way through them. As they are short they will just about hold Caspian’s attention. He really liked the funny story of The Dog and His Reflection. Hopefully it will teach him that greediness doesn’t pay.

Have you and your kids tried out any new products this month?

NB! Please note this post contains PR samples. All words and opinions are my own.

  1. The bedtime stories book looks gorgeous 🙂 I’m a bit of a book addict. First for me, now for my child haha.
