DISNEY JR. LIVE ON TOUR REVIEW

If you have a Disney Jr. fan, this show is for them. Whether their favourite is Mickey Mouse and his clubhouse gang, or they prefer to go underwater with Ariel. Maybe Superkitties are their heroes, or Spidey and his Amazing Friends are who they want. The show has it all. Full of music and fantastic dance acts, all led by the energetic DJ. Disney Jr. Live on Tour came to London at The Royal Festival Hall for two days only. With six shows on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of March, a lot of little (and quite a few big) Disney fans got a chance to shake it out, laugh out loud and revel in fun. Now here’s to hoping they’ll return to the UK again soon!

COME PARTY WITH MICKEY MOUSE AT DISNEY JR. LIVE ON TOUR

The Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank in London is conveniently located close to Waterloo Station. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from in the area. It’s an ideal venue for a show of this scale. The seats are comfy and there is a lot of audience participation. From joining in with dance numbers to ball play across the auditorium.

On stage, using a mix of physical backdrops and screen interaction, the show truly brings the Disney Jr. world to life. It’s the place to meet all your little one’s favourites.

A SCARY STORY LINE WITH A HAPPY ENDING

While the show starts off with all fun and games as Goofy comes on and sings his famous Hot Dog song, it soon turns sinister as a green mist engulfs the stage. Who could be waiting in the wings and why? Luckily, Spidey and his Amazing Friends have joined the playdate, and they are put to work figuring out who is behind all these shenanigans. The impressive acrobatics left my boys in awe. While they loved the whole show, it was their absolute highlight as they squealed with delight as Spidey, Spin and Ghostspider jumped, flipped and rotated up and down and all around.

The trio soon discover that it’s Green Goblin who is causing chaos. He wants to join the playdate, too, but thinks he’s not invited. Luckily, Mickey Mouse’s Playhouse is for everyone, and the show finishes on a high as they all join in the finale.

We all loved Disney Jr. Live on Tour and the boys left on a high. I truly hope that the tour will return to British venues so more can experience the joy that this tour de force brings to the whole family.
