I like to read but rarely find the time these days. I know I should make time as it’s important. Maybe because I’m more of a visual person I find myself drawn to film and TV when I want to relax rather than start a book. I’ve loved getting absorbed in great books in the past though and do want to explore more literature.
Also to set an example for Caspian. We read together. It’s important for me to introduce him to the amazing world of books, there are so many wonderful children’s books out there and even though he rarely sits through a full story he loves exploring and studying them himself.
We love being part of Parragon’s Book Buddies club and this January saw a real treat for Caspian. We were sent a box full of their Little Learners collection. Ranging from finger puppet to musical books, the series have recently been relaunched. They are perfect for babies and toddlers with sweet characters, lots of colours and full of great adventures and songs. You can find out more in our latest vlog below.
You can buy the books online from Amazon or The Works and read more about Little Learners on Parragon’s website.
Caspian really enjoys them, especially because they are so tactile and easy to handle for little hands. I think the musical Ring-o-Ring-o-Roses is his favourite closely followed by the finger puppet book with Incy Wincy Spider. Now that we’ve put batteries in the first he rocks along to the music and does the gestures including falling down. He’s even taken to dropping on the ground in the most random of places like by the bus stop and in our local garden centre. Children are funny!
Please note we were gifted these products for the purpose of this review. All words and opinions are my own.
We love books here too! I think that anything tactile is brilliant for development, and keeps them occupied too. Thanks for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x
Lovely idea. Will definitely check this out. We’re in a book rut! #fortheloveofBlog
