BAIE BOTANIQUE SKINCARE REVIEW

Baie Botanique review

The French do clean, organic skincare so well. When brand Baie Botanique asked if I wanted to review their Rose Renew range I happily accepted. I’ve been searching for a natural skincare range that is easy to use. With often being so tired in the evening after having put Caspian to bed followed by several hours of catching up on work I need something that does the job well, yet is quick and easy. I have found that with this lovely, organic range using rose as it’s main revitalising ingredient.

The products are beautifully packaged and feel luxurious. Over the past three weeks I’ve been trying out the Regenerating Face Wash, Regenerating Serum and the Regenerating Face Cream.

Baie Botanique Regenerating Face Wah

REGENERATING FACE WASH

I was a little apprehensive when I saw that the face wash was a gel. I’ve previously had disappointing experiences with gel washes in that they’ve dried out my skin and left it feeling tight. But my apprehension was put to shame. This is possibly one of the best face washes I’ve ever used. After wetting your fingers you massage a pea-size amount into your face and neck, then rise with warm water. The aromatic rose scent is bliss and your skin feels soft, cleaned and hydrated after use thanks to the rose water, rose absolute and rose-hip seed oil. Retail price £15 for 125 ml.

REGENERATING SERUM

Next step is the serum. It’s light weight and easily absorbs into the skin. My only negative about this product is the pump container. The cream below is really easy to administer, but I found that air bubbles seem to form in the serum which at times meant having to pump many times to get the product out. But I’m so pleased with the feel and effect, so that is a minor design flaw. Retail price £34 for 50 ml.

REGENERATING FACE CREAM

Lastly there’s the face cream. As a mum with limited time to care for myself I need something simple. I love that I can use this both for day and night time. Again the scent is lovely. Daddy Long Legs described it as having a grapefruity zing to it, which makes it clean and fresh. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated yet non-greasy.  Retail price £32.

They’ve also added a new eye cream to the collection, which I would be keen to try out. I can definitely recommend this range and I’ve had compliments on my skin looking more radient and healthy despite surviving on little sleep and getting over a cold. If you love pure and natural ingredients and a high organic content I suggest you pop Baie Botanique on your Christmas wish list.

NB! Please note I was sent these products to test. All words and opinions are my own.
